Yesterday, I detailed a VW Passat. The owner of this car gave strict instructions to his wife to only bring the car thru the laser touchless washes once a week while he scored a job on a rig for a month. Unfortunately she misunderstood lol. When he got back he asked what the hell happened after he saw the car in the sun. Wifey actually went through a brush wash twice and twice thru the local boys at the local carwash while she enjoyed a caffe latte while waiting lol.

The wife also decided to wipe of a big chunk of dried up bird poo with dry toilet paper right in the middle of the bonnet, you will see in pics attached and left a nasty hologram right near the middle of the bonnet. Hubby was not a happy man. This VW has never had any treatment bar weekly touchless washes since new DEC 2010.

    Anyway process involved was
    Iron X Wheels and Body
    DP extreme foam lance
    Muffy sponge wash
Clay by Bowdens Own with HD Lube
2 passes with Menz 203s on an LC Orange Pad and one pass with 85rd on a LC Black Pad
    Wipedown with Eraser And IPA
Sealed with Nitroseal! I think this application of all the nitroseals I have done (5 now) came out the best yet, liking the product a lot. Applied by a da on both parts a and b both on a LC blue pad.
Wheels were given a poorboys treatment and tyres poorboys bold and bright

Massive waterspots on all windows which were a real PITA to get out, a lot would just not budge. A hell of a lot on panels too which i was way more lucky with.

    Comments welcome

Middle of pic below is a nasty hologram with scratches

Paint corrected & Sealed with Nitroseal.

Melbourne Weather, Dam it gets to dark too quick without daylight saving on your side!

Owner was wrapped and now believes a detailer is different to a car washer LOL. He thought we were all the same!

    Thanks

    Very nice work there Mozza...

So was that 35 empty beer bottles on the bench just to get you through ?

Yeah I was so tempted after 11 hours lol to ask him for one. My mouth was crying out for one at the 5 hour mark actually! They were all full bar one actually! Which he was having, just rubbing it in LOL.

Great write up/work mozza, nseal looks really glassy in afters!

No light at night in melb anymore

Touchless washes sound good, but is that why there may have been so many water spots?

Exactly right there about the waterspots Tickford and also the car had never had any waxes and or sealants applied, the waterspots on every window were a nightmare next to impossible to get out given they etched in so hard although I did manage to make them a lot better, probably around 75 to 80% better.

Nitroseal has surprised the hell out of me, normally I'm skeptical about newer products but after reading favourable reviews on the net I can gladly say they were right. It is a great all round sealant and gives a magic look, and it even gets better after its been on for a few days.
