Hmmm the R35 would be a very good choice. They're certainly not slow in the few times I've gone against them. But a very different handling and feeling car from a M3 though.
pretty cool pshop Joel, but i rekon the stock car looks better......in red
Yeah it was the best pic I could find.
Someone else mentioned quite a few nice cars. I'd be envious of all of them. But if you are looking for something "roughly" around the same price range as an M3 then the GTR would be hard to beat. Only other thing I can think of is a C63 AMG but I think you've already got one in the garage

hahaha yep, there's a C63 that i use during work hours, great daily, very well built, and the engine has way more character than anything BMW M are making these days
ever since buying my M3 ive regretted selling my 350Z. The M3 is an inferior sports car - not alot of people can fathom that, especially BMW owners, but i differ to them in that ive actually owned and modified both
ive driven the GTR soft and hard, and although i understand the "muted" feel alot of journos are talking about, there is still alot more communication/feel in the steering and chassis than any modern BMW M car, AMG, Audi S etc. It doesnt feel as analogue or pure as a 911, and im cool with that, because there's already a 997 GT2 in the garage

I'm a fan of M cars. I reckon your only mistake was buying a vert with the Spastic Manual Gearbox. Coupe with the traditional manual would have been a better car performance wise. And yeah, I'm a biased former M3 owner lol.

Other than a GTR there is nothing Jap that could touch an M3.
My vote is for and R8, or Vantage or Massr GT
Now your talkin! I'll take a V8 Vantage over a GTR any day, I don't care how quick the GTR is lol.
I've tried to love the R35, I just can't. Sure they great cars on paper, I just hate the look of them. My opinion accounts for diddly squat though, it's not my money and I won't be buying either anytime soon
