Hi guys

Just got done trying the Dodo Lime Prime and Rubbish Boys OE for the first time

The test mule was one from my father's collection - his '09 Ferrari F430 F16M Spider

Firstly the Dodo - i saw the Lite version in action at my mate's place a while back so i knew what to expect. The car was prepped extremely well by the dealer, so it only had very minor swirls in some panels from washing and people brushing against it while out parked. I used the Dodo on a white CCS on medium speed with the G220 and the swirls dissappeared after one pass. It is so easy to spread, feels like butter. I was moving very quickly over the car. Not sure if the light abbrassives in the Dodo were working or whether there's some fillers in it, either way the paint took on a bit more gloss, but nothing like the difference i saw on my mate's metallic black 350Z - could be down to the good prep. Finish felt very slick

Then came time to wheel out the Rubbish Boys. I had read about this needing heat to apply smoothly, and it sure did. I had it in my boot and thought yeah that should be hot enough. Went to put my 4" finishing pad in the tub and it just chalked up. So i left it out in the sun with the lid on for about 30 mins. Tried again and it did start to apply smoother, but still felt grippy and it seemed to clog the pad quite quickly too. Application wasnt anywhere as easy as the Vic Mayhem or CG E-zyme.

Let it set for 30 mins, it turned to a slight haze, and proceeded to remove. Again i read this wax is difficult to remove. I wouldnt say it was difficult, it just grips the MF towel on first wipe, but with a little pressure and smaller swipes it did buff off easier. Turn the towel over, take the second swipe with the MF and it's carnauba business as usual

Now what about the finish you say. I did lose some of the slickness that the paint had with the Dodo, but there is definite step up in depth. I wouldnt say it's an oily glossy finish like E-zyme, but more a muted deep glassy look. It was also tricky to capture the depth using my benchmark iphone pics

Id like to give it a go on a different color, i think the depth would benefit a solid black car, but only once you've added some gloss/wetness with a pre wax cleanser or glaze

Did something wake way for the new Fezza or is it another add on?

Not speaking from experience here, but Dodo say the Lite version is a more oily glaze/cleaner compared to Lime Prime which is a cleaner with abrasives so that might explain the difference in finish you noticed.

Thanks for the review. Did you wet it afterwards? How was the beading?

Got to say: "Rubbish Boys" has to be the worst name for somthing they are trying to promote as being good quality!

Phil - additional vehicle. Im continually impressed with the amount of product knowledge you have mate, def an asset to this forum. Given your feedback on the Lite vs Abbrassive, i might have to do a back to back. Prob wont make me buy the Lite, as i already have the Blackfire Polish Enhancer which is a pure glaze

Furious - i didnt test for beading straight away as i read you should leave the finish untouched for the wax to cure properly, just like Swissvax add in their instructions

+1 on the name, though if such a name is going to work in any industry, it would be one where we also have the likes of Poorboys and Dodo. If anything, id hazard to guess the name has a positive affect on its marketing in this industry

Rubbish Boy is the username of the DW forum member who developed the wax with the help of Dom from Dodo Juice. When he finished his wax, it made sense to name it after his username.

lol, thanks for the compliment, you'll give me a big head Razz But as said that was just info from Dodo not personal experience. Experience > text book knowledge.

I don't mind the name, it's different. Some of the brands out there sound really wanky. But what's in a name anyway, besides image?
